Happy Veterans' Day!
It's a lovely Veterans' Day here in Jamaica. No work (thank you, Uncle Sam) and tonight is the annual Marine Corps ball. Benny and I have guests visiting from LA, so they'll be attending the ball with us, and we're all excited (ok, maybe it's just me who's excited) about the chance to get gussied up. Will post pictures later.
For any of you who've ever been struck by jealousy seeing the pictures of Benny and I lounging on the beach, you'll be happy to know that this week we got a taste of our own medicine. Our guests went out to Negril to take advantage of a special at the Riu Hotel. They were enjoying this:

...while we were at work. Envy.
But, never fear, we were comforted by our memories of last weekend when we stayed at another beautiful villa in Ocho Rios. This one is owned by a friend, so we only had to pay for groceries and the staff's salaries for the weekend... MUCH less than the $7000-$10000 per week usually charged for this particular villa.
